I am Married to Jim Cote and have two sons, James and Jacob. I have lived in Woodstock CT the majority of my life. I am a true New Englander.
I work at High Pointe Church, in Thompson CT, as the Office and Financial Manager where I also serve in our Kids and Student ministries every week.
I have been at Quest Martial Arts for over 28 years. Even before I got involved with karate, I loved working with children and people. I knew that I wanted my life to make a difference in those around me.
Growing up I never did very well at sports, or at least, I did not stick to anything long enough to get good at it. When I first started karate, it didn’t take long for me realize that I found "MY" place when it came to sports.
First, it taught me to learn and grow above my mistakes and to stick with something even when hard. As I continued, I fell in love with everything about it. It helped me to grow physically, mentally and emotionally. The people around me became like family.
I soon began to assist with the teaching and fell in love with it even more. Here was the place that I could make a difference in children and adults alike. Being able to teach Martial Arts at Quest has been such an incredible opportunity. It is an amazing school with gifted teachers who care about each person who walks through the doors. I am truly blessed to be a part of all they do here.
