Hello, my name is Alexis Elkinson and am one of the teachers here at Quest Martial Arts. I am fifteen years old and am currently a sophomore at Tourtellotte Memorial High School in Thompson, Connecticut. After high school, I plan on going into forensics and eventually become either a forensic scientist or a coroner. I was part of the National Junior Honors Society during my seventh and eighth grade years in middle school and am working very hard to be a part of the National Honors Society in high school. I am also currently a member of the Future Business leaders of America and recently achieved the highest GPA in science, history, and english during my freshman year at Tourtellotte.
I love working with kids and enjoy doing workshops, camps, and other activities with them. Karate has been a major part of my life, with me doing it for about six years, and I especially love when I can teach a person at any age something new and worthwhile. Martial arts has not only captured my interest, but it has also made me a better person. Throughout my years here at Quest, I have learned about self-control, concentration, self-discipline, and humility. I love sharing my experience with others and am always willing to learn more in order to better my time here at Quest Martial Arts. Throughout this process, I have become a stronger, more mature, and more confident martial artist.
