Senior Cardio Strength
45 minutes of upbeat and fun music to move to. A cardio with strength and toning workout all in one! Fridays 9:30am (sept/oct). Starting September 6. Instructor Val Strunk
Martial Arts for Seniors
This class will serve as an introduction to traditional martial arts and self defense at a pace appropriate for fit seniors. The martial arts portion of the class will teach traditional movements and techniques including some warrior yoga. The self defense portion of the class will include street savvy habits combined with practical physical skills. While there will be no sparring portion to this class, there will be partner work and drills. Skills taught in this class will also train the student toward achieving their orange belt in Karate.
Starting September 9 – (9 am) 79.00 for 8 weeks
Fit To Fight
This class will be an intense 45 minute workout using martial arts moves. Pad work, bag work, med balls and core work will be used to keep you moving and sweating. The class will challenge all levels of fitness and have a zero down time approach. Many of the activities will require partner work. You do not need to have any prior experience, but you will need to provide yourself with a warm up routine before the class. Added bonus, you will learn to move your body like a fighter, and many of the drills and skills will have practical self defense applications. Your will see improvement in your balance, coordination, core strength and confidence.
