  • What is a beginner's class expectation?

    Our beginner classes emphasize the first three rules of training: Be respectful, do your best, and have fun.  We focus on educating the students on the basics of Tang Soo Do.  We know it takes courage just to step on the mat.  We will then introduce the basic stances, blocks, kicks, and strikes. Our first goal is to develop a good work ethic, positive attitude, and enjoyment of training. 

  • How can I prepare for my first martial arts class?

    Show up with a positive attitude! If you have yet to receive your uniform, wear comfortable workout-style clothes. Bring a water bottle.  We will go over everything with you!  No stress or worries!

  • Do you offer other programs or private training?

    Yes, we offer small group sessions as a one-time introduction to self-defense  We offer private self-defense, cardio kickboxing, and traditional martial arts training for the person who likes personal coaching and who has a complicated schedule or has unique goals. 

  • Is Martial Arts dangerous?

    Although any sport or activity has some risk involved, our team of certified instructors follow safety protocols to ensure a safe and supportive environment for our students. In fact, unlike sports which has one adult supervising an entire team, we have multiple instructors monitoring a room at all times making sure everything runs smoothly. We understand that each student has their own unique limits and we encourage rest and feedback during exercise.

  • Can Martial Arts cause injury?

    Because we place such a huge focus on safety and injury prevention, we're proud to say that injuries are very few and far between with our program. In fact, because martial arts gets you in great shape, and makes you strong and flexible, people often see LESS injuries in their lives.

  • How often should I attend classes to see progress?

    Consistency is key to progress in martial arts. We recommend attending classes at least two times a week to build a strong foundation and continually develop your skills.

  • Is Martial Arts suitable for beginners with no prior experience?

    Absolutely! Our martial arts school welcomes students of all skill levels, including beginners with no previous experience. Our experienced instructors are dedicated to helping you learn and progress at your own pace in a supportive environment.

  • What age is appropriate to start martial arts training?

    Martial arts training can begin at a young age, with some programs designed for children as young as 4-6 years old. Our school offers age-appropriate classes for kids, teens, and adults to ensure everyone has the opportunity to learn and grow.

  • How do I know if martial arts is right for me?

    The best way to determine if martial arts is right for you is to try a class. We offer trial classes that allow you to experience the training firsthand, ask questions, and get a feel for our school's atmosphere. This will help you decide if martial arts aligns with your personal interests and goals.

    Yes, martial arts training is an excellent way to enhance your overall physical fitness. Our classes combine strength, flexibility, and endurance exercises that provide a full-body workout and help improve your athletic abilities.
